Make-A-Wish® Tuna Challenge

Welcome to the Make-A-Wish Tuna Challenge, an annual tuna tournament and fundraiser in San Diego with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego, Inc.

Participate by signing up for the 2012 tournament, or by donating your time, money, or both, to the Make A Wish Foundation® or the Tuna Challenge event. Come by our Tuna Challenge booth at one of the special events below to donate or for more information on how you can help.

If you are the person who won our 5 day long range fishing trip on the Independence Sportfisher from our progressive raffle, or you know who did, please contact Wayne Kotow at FishermansWholesale@yahoo.com, or call the Independence Sportfisher office at (619) 226-6006. We need to make sure your trip is registered so please contact us as soon as possible.

2012 Special Events



The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. It is the largest wish granting organization in the world, with 64 chapters in the United States and its territories, with over 220,000 wishes granted to date.

All proceeds from the Tuna Challenge go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of San Diego, which serves children in San Diego and Imperial Counties and grants over 185 wishes each year.
