Welcome to the Make-A-Wish Tuna Challenge, an annual tuna tournament and fundraiser in San Diego with all proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of San Diego, Inc.
Our 2016 Tournament had a total of 86 teams made up of 370 anglers with nearly 6,200 lbs of fish caught and weighed in. Thanks to everyone who showed up to support our event: our anglers and their friends and families; all of the volunteers, mostly members of Silver Gate Yacht Club and their friends and families; Make-A-Wish San Diego volunteers; as well as our tireless Tuna Challenge committee, especially our chairperson Mike Smith who has led the committee for 3 years. Everyone worked throughout the year to help us raise $150,000 to help grant wishes to kids with life-threatening medical conditions.
Many thanks to all of our generous sponsors, found at the bottom of this page and on our Sponsorship page. Their support helped make this year's event a success so please support them with your business!
